How much preparation went into making this video and why?

"We went through a lot of preparation for this. This was all done with four people. Me, my friend, a Director, and an actress who was also a friend. It took me and my friend to prepare and clean the location of this video which was done in an old garage and an old cellar. Me and my friend also co-directed the entire video. I wrote, recorded, mixed, and mastered the track myself as well. The video was shot and edited by Will Harris from willharrisproductions.com"
