This is Jake Aldridge's most recent hip hop music video Give You The World . Here's what Jake Aldridge had to say when we asked:
How much preparation went into making this video and why?
"A ridiculous amount of preparation went into the making of this music video. Despite being an unsigned artist from the UK, I saved up my pennies and had my new music video filmed in Arboleas, Spain. I took a film crew out there with me and I also took my girlfriend as well, who features in the video.
We wanted to capture and celebrate the feeling of being in love. We filmed during the day, as well as at night and captured some underwater shots as well.
Since none of us had been to Arboleas before, we weren't certain of where the best locations would be to film, so we had to do a lot of improvising and spent long periods in the car travelling all over Spain to try and find the best locations for what we were looking for. One day we ended up at nudist beach and on another, our vehicle broke down during the night, about 8 miles from any houses or any signs of civilization. (No phone signal either). One day, we had to capture a sunset between courses whilst eating out at a restaurant as well.
I'm really happy with how well the video came out and I hope your readers enjoy watching it. "
The future is bright for 27 year old Jake Aldridge, who has come a long way from his humble beginnings in the world of music, as he announces the video for his new single; Give You The World, is now available to view via YouTube
Starting out ten years ago with a £12 microphone and a pop shield made from a sock, Jake has had to learn from the roots of the industry as the introduction to his music career came about rather unexpectedly.
After losing his father when Jake was 11 years old, he turned to his diary as a way to cope with his grief. He found he could rhyme words which turned in to short raps that he eventually plucked up the courage to perform in front of his friends.
Jake Aldridge has now racked up 100,000 plays online and has worked with some top names in the industry to write and produce music that has an RnB-meets-Hip-Hop sound.
Jake has achieved national and international radio plays including his latest release, which was aired on Tom Robinson’s BBC Introducing Mixtape. His music is now playing on four British television channels, after signing a publishing deal with Leopard Music.
After filming his new music video in Spain, and despite the release being self-funded; Jake has defended his decision to shell out for the project.
“It’s really not about money for me, It’s all for the fans, for my core supporters. I put them first when making decisions. Some of these people have followed me since the days of Myspace, they’ve watched me grow as an artist and I’ve put this music video together for them to enjoy.”For more information, please contact Jake Aldridge - email@example.com
